The CMRE 355 Street/Strip engine package
can be modified to fit many different
applications. We can change compression
ratio, cam profiles and cam timing
to custom match your desired end use and
driving needs.
There have been no
compromises made in components or
workmanship, these engines use some of
the same components and machining
operations as our all out competition
race engines. CMRE Street/Strip engines
are built for durability and performance
so that you can drive them every day and
not have to do a lot of maintenance.
One of these
engines we recently dynoed made 383 Tq,
ft-lbs @ 4700 RPM and 378 HP @ 5500 RPM,
with a small smooth idle type cam and a
Holley 4160 600 CFM carb. With a bigger
cam and more carburetor this same engine
package will make over 400 HP, and yes it
can handle a 400 HP NOS kit if you are
real power hungry.
All CMRE
Street/Strip engines are dyno tested and
tuned before being shipped so all you
have to do is install it in your car and
go, no oil leaks, no cam break in to deal
with, and the rings are properly seated
under the right load on the dyno.
They cost a little
more than some of the mail order so
called bargain engines, but you get
a custom built engine with only the best
name brand components and workmanship
that CMRE is known for, because your car
is worth every penny of it.
